Fun and success at Cheltenham Festival
Our wonderful performers have recently enjoyed taking part in Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts, with 85% gaining Distinction and 15% gaining Merit. Seven children were awarded medals and six children were awarded fourth places, which earned rosettes. Children from The Richard Pate School won the Primary Schools under 8’s trophy with ‘Snowtime Fun’, while ‘Fairies’ gained third place. Juniors were placed third with ‘Adventures in Neverland’ and fourth with ‘English Country Garden’. Everyone had a wonderful time and plans are already in place for next year’s festival!! We are now…

We have all been very busy with Pumpkins and Fireworks during the past few weeks! Before we become totally “wrapped up” with preparations for Christmas we are giving some thought to less fortunate families. We are collecting unwanted winter clothing for refugees in France 🇫🇷 and Greece 🇬🇷 We are holding a ‘drop in’ Charity Fair at the Carlton Street studio on Sunday 19 November from 11am to 2pm. A big thank you to all the parents, students, and staff who baked, bought and ate(!) cakes for our first of many events to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support on 29 September. We are delighted to say we raised well over £100! Special thanks go to our lovely senior student Holly, who not only gave up her day to help serve cakes and promote the event to everyone, but also made the most amazing “cake pops” that sold like, well…hot cakes! Just a little note to express my thanks to all parents and staff for your valued support during our busy but extremely enjoyable week at Parabola Arts Centre. Despite a few very small challenges (mostly with very small people), our wonderfully-entertaining end-of-the-week-show was indeed supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Everyone was amazing!
