We offer dance classes for pupils of The Richard Pate School, taking place in the main hall. All classes (except jazz classes) include a fair balance of modern dance, basic ballet and classical dance. Children who attend extra ballet classes at our Darley House studios will be considered for ballet examinations. All children will be invited to take a modern dance examination during year one or two, and there are further opportunities to take examinations in junior classes. These children may need to attend some coaching classes at our Darley House studios.

Nursery & Reception
Boys - black shorts/joggers with white t-shirt
Girls - aqua cap-sleeve skirted leotard
Small dance bag (backpack recommended - no drawstring bags please!)
Primary and Level 1 (years 1/2)

Girls - cornflower cap-sleeve skirted leotard
Small dance bag (backpack recommended - no drawstring bags please!)
Levels 2/3/4 (years 3 to 6)
Boys - black shorts/joggers with white t-shirt
Girls - navy "Sophie" leotard
Small dance bag (backpack recommended - no drawstring bags please!)
Girls of 10 years and over should also wear 'roll up' tights
